In the process of ‘self-discovery’, we believe that ‘active learning’ is important for our students in their learning process. Instead of learning by just listening to teachers, memorizing, ‘spoon feeding’, assignments by giving the pre-assigned answers and the over-emphasis in academic result, we stress on student’s learning by relating it to their experiences in their daily lives.Learning must be part of themselves.

The disciplinary problems, such as fighting, truancy and theft, by teenagers and children are getting serious. To us, discipline means ‘to teach’, ‘to recify’ and ‘to guide’. It does not mean ‘to punish’. We do not believe in punishment. Instead, we IEM people, will try all our best to build up a lovely, respectful, and self-discipline enviroment with care and patience.

1.NO Punishment( it does not mean “overindulgence)
Under the punishment systems, children may learn due to the fear of punishment without any willingness and joyfulness.
2.NO termination of schooling(it does not mean “no condition”)
If our students are having some learning or behavioural problem, we will try our best to keep them to stay with us instead of just sending them away.
3.No retaining( it does not mean we allow “poor” academic performance.)
If there is any learning difficulty, a special arrangement will be conducted to help the student to manage the difficulty instead of retaining the student for another year.
4.NO bad-labeling (it does not mean “no management”.)
Bad-labelling a students unfair to him or her. Teachers are there to guide, not to label.
