About Kolej SRI
Smart Reader® is founded in 1988 as Smart Education Centre by Dato’ Sri Dr Richard Ong and Datin Sri Dato’ Dr KH Wang, the organisation changed its name to Smart Reader® Worldwide Sdn Bhd in 1998. This move was made to reflect the expansion of its English Programme into the international arena.
Backed by the success of the Smart Reader® English Programme and the rich experience of the group of educationists, Smart Reader® Worldwide launched the Smart Reader Kids® concept in 1999
Tagged as Every Child’s Dream School, this unique, imaginative and vibrant 21st century model child development centre has emerged very aggressively and accredited by the Malaysia Book of Records as The Largest Chain of Child Enrichment Centres in Malaysia.
With the formation of three other franchised programmes, namely Smart Reader Kids++®, Smart Reader Kids® Mandarin medium and Smart Reader Kids Islamic™, the organisation has evolved to become the largest educational franchise group with the establishment of more than 300 franchise centres in Malaysia. Smart Reader® Worldwide has also expanded its wings internationally by having 150 franchise centres in China and the Middle East.
For an organisation that has been around for a good number of years, success is influenced by ONE key factor, QUALITY. Constant research and development and continuous upgrading of the programmes have enabled this quality product to remain at the helm, steering preschool education into a glorious and exclusive era.
With a vision of educating the educators, SRI® College was established in 2004 as an expansion project of Smart Reader® Worldwide Sdn Bhd (the largest early childhood education provider in Malaysia). Due to growing concerns from the government and parents towards the quality of early childhood education in Malaysia, SRI® College was established to specialise in the field of Early Childhood Education, Care and Development.
Today, the Ministry of Higher Education recognises SRI® College as an institution of higher learning and is highly experienced in the fields of Early Childhood Studies, English Language Studies and Business & Management studies. The college was set up to provide an avenue for higher education and professional credentials to more than 300 franchised child enrichment centres in Malaysia as well as centres in China, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Syria and Jordan.
SRI® College has also invested in qualified and dedicated lecturers to prepare students towards their success. With our skilful lecturers, we are certain that students will acquire the necessary knowledge to achieve their goals.
