ELS UTM is located within the Skudai campus of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in the southern state of Johor. Visitors can find the university campus at about 20 km north of the state capital, Johor Bahru, and 18 km from the Sultan Ismail Airport.

ELS UTM is one of the two on-campus ELS centres in Malaysia. UTM accepts the ELS Certificate of Completion as proof of English language proficiency and an alternative to IELTS and TOEFL for international student admission.
